Available since winter 2018/19, the breakfast room of Altmessnerhof Farm in Wahlen, Toblach (Dobbiaco), is distinguished by traditional flair that will make you experience something special from every point of view. Surrounded by ancient wood, originating from old Tyrolean living rooms (Stube), you will have the feeling of finding yourself in a magic place full of gastronomic surprises – refined, but simple, just like the typical peasant cuisine itself. Every morning you can enjoy here a rich buffet breakfast with South Tyrolean cheeses and cold cuts, farm milk and yoghurt, various bread types, one of which is always homemade, as well as cakes, jams and much more. The landlady Marlene will be glad to personally make for you some hot dishes with farm eggs in the open-plan kitchen. Otherwise, starting from summer 2018 you are also welcome to order a breakfast chest with farm products and local specialities.

In Altmessnerhof Farm in Wahlen, Toblach (Dobbiaco), you can enjoy farm milk, yoghurt and eggs, that are present in the rich breakfast buffet (starting from winter 2018/19), but can be also bought separately, in order to be prepared in the apartment according to your own taste. In summer, Altmessnerhof guests can also take advantage of the farm’s kitchen garden with aromatic herbs and seasonal vegetables.

Every Thursday, from 3 p.m. till 5 p.m. the guests of Altmessnerhof apartments are welcome to a Strudel Afternoon with free tasting of delicious homemade strudels. Those who are eager to learn more about this famous Tyrolean speciality can participate, upon request, in its preparation together with the landlady Marlene, a true expert of the South Tyrolean cuisine. For cooking fans it is also possible to organize other cooking lessons dedicated to traditional Tyrolean dishes, that represent the essence of local gastronomy.
